[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,386,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, width:130px; height: 200px; background-image: url(http://i45.tinypic.com/29wlco7.jpg);][/style] | [style=height: 180px; overflow: auto; font-size: 9px;]there isn't much to say about bailey, or rather, there isn't much that bailey's willing to say about herself. while she doesn't come from some dark, tormented past, she just isn't proud of who she was or where she came from. her mother was a single mother raising three kids, and that caused bailey to have to grow up rather fast. her mother worked two jobs in order to provide for the girls financially, and that left bailey, the eldest, to do much of the chores that included taking care of the children. she couldn't go to school herself because she was too busy with taking care of her sisters, but she wouldn't let that stop her from getting an education. she talked to the local school, and they worked out a system in the middle of Alabama so that she would be able to do what she wanted and needed to do. she couldn't be more thankful to the teachers of that school system. it's what got her her high school diploma, and it's what allowed her to move here. once her middle sister turned eighteen, shauna started taking over the care of faith so that bailey could follow her dreams. while her dreams were unclear, she knew that she wanted to see what it was like to live in the city. she had been so suffocated by the country, family life that she knew that it wasn't what she wanted for herself. she was always a spitfire, and she always did what she wanted to do when she could afford to do it. her sisters always came first though, and that was when her dreams got put on the back burner. however, when shauna stepped up, bailey stepped out. and she packed her bags and took the trains and buses all the way to boston, on her own, so that she could start living her life. her mother gave her half of their savings just so she could make it, and while bailey didn't want to accept it, she knew that her journey would never be plausible without the help. however, she's determined to pay her mother back. the money allowed her to purchase a small apartment for herself. while it's nothing special, and nothing fancy, it's quickly becoming home to her. the paycheck she makes working at the local cafe has allowed her to furnish it more completely, although it is still rather bare. she doesn't have very many friends though because she works such long hours, but that's alright with her. she's convinced that she's fine without the social life, but having her chocolate lab Phoenix is not really cutting it for her anymore. she loves him, but she can only have so many conversations with her dog before people start to think she's crazy. she brings Phee to the cafe with her, much to her happiness. the owner doesn't mind him being in there because he's so well behaved, so at least he's not trapped in her apartment all day long. but bailey is making a life for herself here. she loves the hustle and bustle of boston and she's trying to see as many sights as she possibly can. it's just nice to be free. |
