| [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,386,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, width:130px; height: 200px; background-image: url(http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc5scewrx11r9xmfgo5_250.png);][/style] | [style=height: 180px; overflow: auto; font-size: 9px;]marley was born to brooke and lucas kaine in the middle of the autumn on a military base. her father was younger than most of his fellow military men at the time, and he was sent overseas only days after she was born. her mother was a strong woman, however, and she tirelessly cared for their child while trying not to worry about her husband in his absence. thankfully, no harm befell him on the battlefield, and he transferred to a more permanent job in the boston, mass coast guard. thanks to his superb service in the line of duty, he was permitted the transfer, and was able to set more permanent roots for his family. marley grew up on a military base, becoming the little mascot for the men her father worked with. they played with her, and she softened their hearts, making even the manliest of men dress up and play house with her when she was a toddler. her mother was never able to have more kids, so marley grew up as an only child. her parents never spoiled her (too much at least), and they taught her to be a lady. she took etiquette classes and went to cotillion, all of the normal things any girl in new york city would do. her father raised through the ranks of the coast guard and was very well off, granting his daughter the freedom to attend school off of the base. she grew up around a few other recognizable faces in boston, scout and leo shepherd and johnny giancola just a few. being only a few years younger than the shepherd twins and johnny, they became friends. somehow, she'd never gotten along as well with girls as with guys, so she didn't bond with scout as much as she did with her twin brother. she was inseparable from the two boys, although they didn't hang out with one another much since their personalities didn't fit well. johnny was always the shining example, the golden boy at school, and leo didn't give a crap if anyone liked him or not. when she was at home on the base, she would spend her afternoons doing her homework on the grass while leo teased her, telling her studying would rot her brain. at school, she joined the cheerleading squad, and that's where she met johnny. seeing as he was on the football team, it was unavoidable, but their relationship was never romantic, from the start. unaware that she would be attractive to the male gender, marley bonded with johnny like she was one of the guys. they even had a running joke between them where he would ask her out, and she would always say no just to spite him. with leo, things were different. she constantly picked on him for being dramatic, but if she needed someone to confide in, he was always her first choice. many people wondered if there was something wrong with her, why she had only guys as friends, but marley didn't care. she's never been one to care about what other people think. when johnny moved away to california, she couldn't deny that it broke her heart. she knew why he had to do it, but she missed him. he was her sun and leo was her moon. it's hard to describe such a deep friendship like those she shared with her two male best friends from different worlds. she honestly feels like both of them are a part of who she is. college was easy for her to decide. always having been close to her parents, she chose to attend boston university and stay close to home. she got a scholarship for cheerleading and is on their cheerleading squad while working to get her doctorate degree. she wants to be a heart surgeon. |
