Well, the occasional wrestling match has gone down, but she usually kicks his ass what with her police training and the fact that she cheats and hits him in the nuts. She cheats and he always gets on her for that. But, we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here. Leo has never truly forgiven himself for his mother's death. He knows that she died because of the complication of child labor, but he feels as if he wasn't born, then she never would have lost her life. She would have been fine if she had just had Scout. She would have been able too recover. He beats himself up about it constantly, even to this day, at twenty five years of age. He doesn't want to, and the rational part of him knows that he shouldn't, but Leo has a horrible habit of being controlled by his emotions. While his sister has the uncanny ability to hide what she's feeling, Leo is completely the opposite. He always has been and even when they were little, he was the dramatic twin out of the two of them. He wouldn't call this blame being dramatic, but he has a big heart and it's hard for him to relieve himself of his guilt. leo has never gotten along with their father, "zap". the man pushed them both hard while they were growing up, especially because he was a single father raising two kids. but leo has always held a certain grudge against the man for making things so hard on him. the boy's summers were filled with camps that were structured around boot camp, and his afternoons after school, in which he would much rather be off playing with his friends, were packed with different exercises and activities. it was all because his father was an ex-member of the military and he always wants that for his son now. he wanted leo to become a member of the marines, or some other respectable branch, but leo wanted none of that. when high school came around, the boy started rebelling worse than ever. he would skip out on the training sessions that his father had set up for him with a private trainer, and he wasn't doing his school work. the nights were filled with yelling contests and the pressure that zap put on his son was all too much for the young man to handle. he got himself involved in drugs because it was the only release he could find, much to the dismay of his sister. he wasn't addicted, and she threw an intervention when he graduated high school in which he convinced her that he swore off the illegal substances for good. he disowned his father after his own refusal to sign up with the army and he couldn't stand seeing the disappointment on the man's face. he moved out as soon as his nineteenth birthday came along, but really struggled. he got involved with the wrong crowd which is something this his sister doesn't know about, but probably suspects. he turned his life around on his twenty-first birthday after a rather bad run in with the police. that his sister was there for. she wasn't the arresting officer, but it was her partner that put her brother in hand cuffs after the drug bust. since he wasn't that far involved and he was able to give them some key names, leo was let off after a year in prison. it helped that his sister could pull some strings as well, but she made him promise that he would live with her and start working on turning his life around again. he started going to school for auto mechanics, and has become a rather successful mechanic after graduation. while he still indulges in illegal substances every now and again, he has managed to hide that part from his sister, and is doing well for himself. he still lives with her, but he pays half the rent and they're inseparable, so neither of them would want a different living situation at this point in time. |
