My self-summary
Hi! My name is Alice Gold and I am twenty two years old. I just graduated college from Suffolk University, and have already been taken on as an editor in a successful publishing company. I grew up in a small town in Kansas, but moved to Boston for school. My biological father, Maurice, died when I was five years old and my mother, Rebecca, remarried when I was seven. My stepfather, Harold, is a kind man and we are very close for not being related. He understands me more than my mother has ever tried. He was my mother's fifth marriage, and I ended up moving in with him instead of her after she married Stephen, her sixth and current husband. Harold is the reason that I wanted to move to the big city; he's always pushed me. Oh dear, have I said too much about myself? Oops!
What I'm doing with my life
Currently, I'm an editor for a very popular publishing inc. Eventually, I would like to write my own novel or possibly control the publishing inc. Right now, though, I enjoy my profession for the most part. My boss is a bit annoying, but that's alright.
I'm really good at
Reading, writing and editing. I also have this way about me to calm people down. And I'm also good at talking and reading people. There aren't many people that have been able to escape my good skills! I can't cook for my life, though. I wouldn't make a very good house wife!
The first things people usually notice about me
People always say that my lips and eyes are the first thing they notice. I have blue eyes, red lips and a brown hair that falls past my shoulders. I'm quiet tiny, too, and most people can tower over me. I don't understand why people always think I'm beautiful; I'm simply average and I always feel most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite type of literature is British Literature. However, my favorite novel would either be Wuthering Heights or Pride and Prejudice. I love re-reading them. My favorite movie would be either The Notebook or Bridge Jone's Diary. Both have become my two go-to movies on sad movie nights. I don't actually watch tv, so I have nothing that really speaks to me. My favorite musician is Mumford and Sons, and I enjoy chicken parm.
The six things I could never do without
Oooh good question! Obviously food and water. I could definitely not live without Wuthering Heights because I could re-read that novel over and over again. I couldn't live without my music either, mostly because I love relaxing with it on days after work. I would also need a shower, because it's a stress reliever. I always get so embarrassed about the little things in life. And a fifth thing? Company. I hate being lonely.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work. I always want to improve. And I think of my stepfather a lot, mostly because he's the one that really raised me. Occasionally I think about how I've been single since I graduated high school, but that's because I've never been into the party scene.
On a typical Friday night I am
Kathleen always makes fun of me because I love sitting at home with a cup of tea and reviewing the manuscripts that are delivered to my work. Occasionally, I'll go out for a drink but I rarely do. I love being home.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit
I'm a virgin, if that counts? I assume you could tell that by the way I don't talk about men. And I'm super clumsy. i fall all the time!
