[style=height: 180px; overflow: auto; font-size: 9px;]lena is seen into two very different lights, depending on what side of the relationship spectrum that you are on. first, it is not hard to make friends with lena but it is hard to keep her friendship due to the fact that she is so bland in everything that she does. her set routine hardly changes as she gets and spends half of her day at work, and then a few hours in the studio and then she returns home. a time for fun, or even a party is out of the question as it would make her both unbalanced and uncomfortable. sticking lena into a room with over six people is a recipe for an anxiety attack which the girl is prone to have every week or so. she is used to them and sometimes appears to brush off the symptoms and go about her life, breathing evenly and slowly in order to calm herself down. other times, it’s hard for her to even get a breath in and she has been known to pass out from the lack of oxygen but that is only if the girl is absolutely terrified. a key sign to watch out for when approaching the girl is her actual speech. she has a british accent, posh and proper and usually speaks as though she stepped of the plane only seconds before as her accent is still rich and thick as is the lingo, but the next thing that will be noticed is the stutter that appears every few words. your hearing is perfectly fine, it’s lena’s speech that is not as intact as social situations will cause this stutter to make it appearance and rapidly, and noticeable. she might wince when it appears due to the fact that she loathes it existence but that is what lena deserves (or so she thinks) after two years of silence after her father’s leave from the family. that stutter, depending on how fast or how frequent it appears, is a good indicator to whether the girl is comfortable or not.it might take a moment or two to even understand what lena is saying but eventually, it all pieces together rather nicely. now lena does not feel like a human being at all and more like a science experiment that has gone wrong. she cannot take a compliment for the life of her which is rather surprising with her stunning figure, her dark blue eyes and her bright features but she does not find herself attractive at all. she sees the opposite of what everyone else sees and she is rather excelled in self deprivation of herself as nothing is perfect, there is nothing about her that she deems even good enough and would rather take to envying a brunette rather than admire herself in the mirror. she is not vain but that much could already be seen in the way that she thinks of herself and lena usually avoids her reflection except when she is getting ready. when actually getting ready, she takes more time than you would think for a girl who does not appreciate her own reflection and yet, she does not really have much care for what she looks like. her style has become all her own and she wears what is comfortable for her which is usually something to show off her legs but leaving the rest of her body well hidden in something that flows or is heavenly pattered or layered. her body is her own best kept secret as she does have a rather noticeable hour glass figure if you get a good enough look at her. she is curvy but not over voluptuous and though she wishes for more, she is satisfied with being plain, or at least in her eyes. when it comes to friendship, lena is a prime example of someone that you would want to have on your team. she is loyal until the end of time for those that can break through the small, weak walls that she puts up around herself. she is overly trusting, putting too much faith in people without thinking of the consequences until it’s too late. she has been used and abused in her life, most of the time without notice, being tricked into believing that friendship is more one sided than anything and that is why she will go beyond and above the expectations of a friendship and expect nothing in return. she is the kind of girl that can be used and manipulated, turned around to fit any mold and be okay with it because her naive and slightly lack of common sense mind does not think anything bad of it. easy to sway to your side, lena is dedicated to pleasing people and a huge portion of those people would be her friends. she will bend over forward and backward for you and even when her back breaks, she will continue to carry the load that has been dumped onto her. too much of a pushover, the girl has a hard time saying no to anyone that gives her a puppy dog pout and a elongated “come on” to get her to do whatever they want. sadly, she has not yet learned her lesson in who to trust and not to trust and she easily considers people to be her friend even when they are using her. for those that actually have her best interest at heart, a thank you is needed but also a pat on the back because you help to keep her naïve ways circulating round and round, time and time again until one day, lena will break. when broken, lena seems to shut herself out. she is easily shattered though and she takes some time to mend but not a lot of time to get back into society but she seems to have a different aura about her. she drags her feet a little more, puts little time into her appearance and her ego and self esteem just falter, cracking that much more as lena has never had a strong self-esteem in the first place. again, by not being able to take a compliment and turning things back around to someone else, she finds it hard to inflate her non-existent ego and therefore, finds it easy to deflate it more and more until it’s less than nothing. in order to make an enemy of lena though, mentioning her parents, brother or friends in a negative light is a sure fire way to do so. she is not a violent girl and her mouth is full at best but she will stand up for those that have made a difference in her life and this is around the time that she notices who her real friends are and who is using her. the idea of love for her is warped. she has never seen a real healthy relationship as her grandparent’s deteriorated as she was growing up and her father abandoned the family when her mother fell pregnant for the third time. like a friendship, lena believes that a relationship is meant to be one sided where she gives and gives and expects nothing in return. the emotional connection and trust has to come into a relationship faster than the physical stuff or the girl will get too scared and end up running from any form of a connection and make the relationship crash and burn. for a girl that does not like being touched or even the idea of having sex (though she is not a virgin), a relationship just does not seem to be in the cards for her and she hardly believes that she deserves one anyway. a past love, her only great love, has her still shaky about the idea of being with anyone and though lena is supportive, attentive and dedicated to her significant other, it’s hard for her to find someone patient enough to stick with her until she is ready for the physical aspect. her naivety and even still innocent mind does not help with her view or the attempt to get into a relationship once more. dirty jokes will go over her head, she will not understand flirting, though she does not know how but not exactly aware of when she is doing it, she is basically virginal without actually being a virgin. finally, lena’s first and foremost love is dancing. it’s strange that a girl that is so shy and who flees from the limelight that could be offered to her, is content with getting on a stage with people staring at her as her body moves and contorts in poetic movement—but she is. it’s her favorite part of the entire performance when she watches people’s reactions to her movements and sees how they understand the store through something as a hop across the stage on her toes. dance has always been a part of her life and lena has sacrificed a lot for her first love to continue to be in her life. she has this security blanket kind of relationship with dancing as it easily calms her down, and she is able to express herself where she fails when actually attempting to verbally express herself. with her proper way of standing, her more modern fashion sense and the sole fact that she has an accent, it’s not hard to pinpoint where lena was born and raised. london, england was where she called home until she was around 7 years old. living her older brother, father and mother, it was no surprise that lena was welcomed into a family full of love and one that was completed when she was brought into the world. showered with love and attention, her family held up values such as religion, dreams and support for one another above all else and it’s something that lena has always had in her life and continues to practice. developing a little slower than most children, lena was actually thought to have a learning disability and was forced to test after test by her father until they rejected the idea of her being challenged and instead, moved to blame the family’s coddling on the beautiful baby girl. smiles and giggles is what her mother used to say to her because everything would make the little girl laugh but only one thing made her smile. in order to get an infant lena to fall asleep, her mother and father had to play classic music that will lull their daughter into a restless sleep before they followed suite into their bedroom. that music kept lena soundly asleep for the whole night, unless the device broke or the cd skipped and then she was woken up almost instantly and cried until soothing music flowed out of the speakers once more. she was a sweet child, gentle to her brother who grew to be protective over her rather quickly and who would watch her constantly to make sure she did not fall or bump into anything. she recalled her brother yelling at someone who left their shoe in the middle of the kitchen and lena had tripped , causing the girl to turn red with anguish. her brother jumped to her rescue and from then on, they have been each other’s shields for the world. growing up in England, lena will tell you, was nothing special, at least not in her eyes. she was always kind of a wallflower, blending into the walls of whatever school she was in and making an attempt to keep out of the lime light even before she developed her stutter. being more friendly and outgoing was easier and she made friends quicker than present day but she was more into the idea of reading a book than going to a party, she was not big on drinking underage as her fellow classmates and lena always finished projects and reports a few days early to leave time for editing. she was that kind of girl and that went through elementary school, middle school and even high school like that. it was in the sixth grade that lena discovered the seed to her dancing career that she would dream about from now until eternity. it was in her gym class where she learned that her feet could move to a beat unlike her casual walking, mundane movement, where lena was not as coordinated. she found her passion growing and was put into dance classes, moving up and up in the years until she was in the advanced classes by the time that she started high school. practice made perfect in her mind and she strived, not for perfection, but for the best that she could physically do. forcing herself to practice day after day, lena developed a love for dancing and it has never really faltered either. her passion and her talent grew throughout the years, exceptionally growing year after a year and she was never able to break the trance that the beat and the movement had over her. specializing in ballet, lena excelled, hitting a peak to her career at the age of twenty and has yet to really come down from the high point. through her life, she had very few people that she could not find something in common with. tragedy did come upon the girl in her young life though and it has affected her quite a bit, the first would be that her mother and father split up—or that is what she was told. in actuality, when lena was ten years old, her mother fell pregnant once more and in the end, the pressure broke the marriage and her father disappeared one day and never returned. it was at this moment that the youngest daughter was protected, shielded from the world and kept in an almost sheltered world which would very much explain her curiosity for the world and then for the fact that she is very naïve to the world. her father leaving when she was ten years old was something that lena never really thought affected her but it made a huge impact into her life as things turned from lenience to strict. she went into a stage of mute, remaining virtually silent for nearly two years, before she entered grade eight and when she spoke—the stutter was there and has never really left. the second thing that happened would be that she had a great love that she gave up to follow her dreams, or rather he would not let her give it up. she met him in boston when her company was stationed here and she attended university while doing a show downtown three times a week, and she had never felt that way about anyone. lena literally gave him anything and she fell fast and hard, learning things that they never taught her in school and she found herself torn between renewing her contract with the dance company or leaving him behind. their love was strong and a part of lena will always feel something for the male as she thought he was going to be the one for her, marriage and all. she spent three years in boston before heading off to france to continue her dreams, moving from stage to stage but something had called her back to boston and that is why she is back—to answer the call. the third thing would be the small injury that she suffered a little over two months ago that forced her off the stage and into physical therapy and the road to recovery. she has gotten a job at the starbucks as a barista, making drinks for people. she has returned to boston, a place that she called home for off and on for summer years and college days. boston is a place that she discovered herself and though france and england have helped to open her up, there are a lot of aspects of lena that will never change. |
